Picking up right where Tangled Up In Blue left off, Shelter from the Storm sees Blue called to account for his past actions. But can Blue and Keegan’s relationship survive the consequences of this storm?
I liked the way Brick built up the tension in Shelter from the Storm. It gave the sequel a better pace, driving the plot forward, and this time I found I really wanted to know how Blue and Keegan’s story ended. I’m also glad that Keegan got a little feistier, I just felt this was so much more fitting for her character’s development. It was more her, or at least how I imagined her to be.
However, I did feel certain strands of the story were a little unnecessary like the whole Hunter thing. His character didn’t really need to be anything other than an asshole and it still would have worked.
But having said that, I definitely preferred Shelter from the Storm! Another enjoyable read!
