Tangled Up In Blue – J.D. Brick

Keegan Crenshaw is a straight-A student from a powerful Oklahoma family and has a lot to prove as the youngest editor of her college newspaper, but someone’s out to get her. Blue is a troubled soldier with a dark secret and he can barely control the feelings raging inside him. When Keegan moves into his house to get away, the instant connection they feel is about to make their lives even more complicated…

Tangled Up In Blue combines elements from different Romance genres, mainly military and contemporary, with an added mystery/thriller twist, told from alternating perspectives to keep things interesting. There wasn’t anything particularly new about the storyline but I am curious to see where Brick takes it because there is, dun dun duuhhhhh… a cliffhanger! I’m hoping Keegan is a little stronger in the sequel, and less reliant on Blue. Considering her badass blog and her sheer determination as an editor, I just felt she could be her own hero, but we shall see. So stayed tuned for part two of this review, Shelter From the Storm, coming tomorrow!

Overall Tangled Up In Blue was an enjoyable read, I just didn’t really find myself pushing to finish it.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. This in no way affected my opinion of the book, or the content of my review.
