Jaxon Rasner thought he had escaped his past but after almost a decade in hiding as Martin Wheeler, his identity has been compromised. A team of highly trained assassins are now on his trail and it seems they’ll stop at nothing to neutralise their target. Jaxon must return to his old life in order to survive but when old friends suddenly reemerge he isn’t sure who he can trust, especially when he learns that his estranged daughter has been abducted.
You guys know this is not my typical read; Sci-Fi and me don’t exactly get along. However, The Hunted Assassin was a lot of fun! The Sci-Fi element wasn’t so over the top that I couldn’t buy into the story, which was fast paced and filled with a ton of action. It didn’t idle for long! Although for me, there was a little bit too much going on in the first few chapters. I didn’t really understand where the story was going initially, but once it settled down somewhat and the characters began to develop, I felt more involved. It’s a great movie set-up but not so easy to follow while reading.
So it’s 3 stars from me, but if you’re a fan of the genre I have a feeling you’ll probably rate this more highly, check it out!
