In His Corner by Vina Arno

I was sent this book in exchange for an honest review.

In His Corner is a short, steamy romance about a local famous boxer, Tommy Raines, known as the Juggernaut and Dr. Siena Carr. They meet after Siena stitches up Tommy after a sparring match. She’s currently not interested in dating after a recent breakup but when Tommy takes his shirt off she finds she’s unable to resist. But can they make it work? Siena is into weird posh salads, architecture and is all about classical music, whereas Tommy is all about greasy beef burgers and his homies. Fighting also goes against Siena’s hippocratic oath, she’s sworn to protect and heal people, not watch them inflict pain.

I can’t really say much more about it, as it’s only 100-something pages long so I’d be giving away far too much but I enjoyed this, it was a quick and easy read. I struggled with Siena as a character, she was a snob and hard to relate to. Her love for Italy came into everything and got a little repetitive in the end. I also found that the female friends she had were a bit flat. Vina Arno’s strong point is definitely hot, alpha males. I thought that Tommy was brilliant, patient and sexy.

Overall I’d say this is an great little filler read, with a HEA  and a passionate lead male.
