Welsh Writers: Gillian Clarke

Your hand on her hand - you've never beenthis close to a woman since your mot.jpeg

Gillian Clarke was born in Cardiff. She is a poet, playwright, editor, translator and tutor. Her poetry is studied by students across Britain. In 2008 she was made the National Poet of Wales.

I actually got to meet Gillian Clarke after a poetry reading she did at the Dylan Thomas Centre in Swansea with Carol Ann Duffy, whom I also love. She actually signed a copy of her collection Ice for me.
